History
In 1998 in connection with a large number of casualties in road accidents we came up with an idea to engage in activities for the benefit of improving safety on Polish roads.
A group of enthusiasts led by the incumbent President of the Association Mr Ryszard Fonżychowski decided to direct their energies on activity that would be reflected in the real world specifically. Our Association started its functioning as a legal entity. At the beginning the Association 'Road and Safety' gathered 20 members mostly experts and specialists in this field. Currently the number of our associates and sympathisers amounts to 200 people.

In the meantime we started cooperation with numerous institutions equally interested in changing the situation on Polish roads. For the sake of all citizens, the Associations continues to develop, makes intensified efforts that produce concrete and noticeable results on Polish roads.
"Causes for road accidents, often deadly ones, are numerous and eliminating them is becoming an urgent need.
It requires specific actions carried out by public services and assisted by such social initiatives as those undertaken by the Association 'Road and Safety'".
